Spring Schedule

January 21, 2009

The Men’s A team has officially been accepted into Terminus in Atlanta, GA for the weekend of March 14th & 15th, allowing us to compete in the most competitive tournament URI has ever played in, along with the very top teams in the country. We’ll be hitting up Terminus on our way down to High Tide (March 17-19th), which has been moved south to Jekyll Island, GA.

The Men’s A schedule for the semester looks roughly like this…

Feb 14th/15th – Queen City Tune-Up, Charlotte NC

Feb 28th/March 1st – WUFF Camp, Wilmington NC

March 14th/15th – Terminus, Atlanta GA

March 17th-19th – High Tide, Jekyll Island GA

March 28th/29th – Huckbuddy Invite, Kingston RI

April 4th/5th – Yale Cup, New Haven CT

Mid April – Sectionals

Late April/Early May – Regionals

The Men’s B team schedule is still in the works, but will include High Tide, the Huckbuddy Invite, and Sectionals of course, in addition to hopefully two more tournaments.

Tom

Gentlemen,

We’ve created this blog so that all of you can post and share your dim and delinquent thoughts about the painful helping of winter training that Isaac has served us all during our supposed ‘vacation’.

Maybe you can’t find a good place to do certain exercises, maybe you start crying 8 1/2 minutes into every ’10-minute death’ session, or maybe you’re too busy drinking in the woods with your high school buddies, but most of us are going to have a few lame-ass excuses for missing a day of exercise. Don’t fall into this habit – do work.

Post anything you’ve got… questions about proper form for core workouts, new stretches to share (Fred), the progress you’re [not] making. I would also venture to say you should feel free to share any insightful quotes, post any hilarious links, or list or you picks for the NFL playoff games this weekend.

Michael: We’ve got a picture of you with Saddam Hussein.

George, Sr.: I thought, I thought that was the guy who played the Soup Nazi. I told him how much I liked his work.
